Piano Recital by Nikolay Khozyainov
added: 2012.01.24
Date:
28 February 2012
Time:
6pm
Venue/Address:
Kraków Philharmonic Hall
ul. Zwierzyniecka 1
Nikolay Khozyainov, one of the youngest participants (just 18 years old at the time) in the 16th Chopin Competition, awarded a distinction in the final, will play in the Kraków Philharmonic concert hall. The jurors were captivated by his maturity, and the public fell in love with his boyish good looks, in stark contrast with the solemnity of his performance. Khozyainov recently released his debut album, which naturally features Chopin’s Bolero, a storming success during the Competition. He will perform it again in Kraków on 28 February, alongside Beethoven’s Sonata No. 31, Schubert’s Wandererfantasie, and Liszt’s Mephisto Waltz and Sonata quasi fantasia. (Barbara Skowrońska)
