Concert versions of two operas by Antonio Vivaldi: Catone in Utica and Tito Manlio, Giulio Cesare in Egitto by George Frideric Handel and La fede ne’ tradimenti by Attilio Ariosti – these are four titles planned for the year 2012 in the fourth edition of the Opera Rara cycle.

The Kraków audiences will see and hear the world-famous stars of early music: vocalists Sonia Prina, Ann Hallenberg, Vivica Genaux, Maria Grazia Schiavo, Roberta Invernizzi, Marina de Liso, and conductors: Fabio Biondi with Europa Galante, Federico Maria Sardelli, presenting for the first time in Kraków his legendary ensemble Modo Antiquo, and Ottavio Dantone leading the renown Accademia Bizantina. The Opera Rara cycle in the year 2012 will also see the first in its history presentation of a Kraków-based ensemble: Capella Cracoviensis under the baton of Jan Tomasz Adamus, together with the international set of soloists and instrumentalists, will perform Giulio Cesare in Egitto by Handel.
