4th Kraków Theatre Night
added: 2009.12.29
Good news for theatre lovers and those that are simply curious: on an unusual night (18 June), Kraków's theatres are throwing open their doors. Awaiting us on the fourth Kraków Theatre Night are several dozen shows and accompanying events. Most importantly, the open air shows are either musical or productions that are easy for foreigners to understand. What can we see? The Ludowy Theatre will be welcoming us... with a song on its lips. On a stage in front of the main building, extracts from a new show for children, Pyza Beyond the Great Water, will be sung and danced. At the back of the theatre, a Neapolitan courtyard will be constructed - we'll be able to hear Marta Bizoń performing songs from the Naples 19.03 production there. Awaiting us on the Main Market Square is the premiere of KTO Theatre's adaptation of José Saramago's novel, Blindness, while Łaźnia Nowa will be welcoming us to Nowa Huta for a concert based on Henry Purcell's Dido and Aeneas.
And much more... After all this night is a genuine celebration of the Dionysian art! (bb)
Entrance free. For the theatres, prior seat reservation is essential.
