The former headquarters of the Fowler Brotherhood was built in truly record time (from June to October 1837) in the Strzelecki Garden. Objects important to the Fowler Brotherhood, as the Kraków’s Sharpshooter Association was called, were brought together here and eminent guests were entertained. Their number included Emperor Franz Joseph I (twice), his son Crown Prince Archduke Rudolph, Prime Minister and virtuoso Ignacy Jan Paderewski, General Józef Haller, Marshal Józef Piłsudski and Presidents of the Republic of Poland: Stanisław Wojciechowski and Ignacy Mościcki. Yet the prime function of this place was to continue and cherish the ancient customs of the brotherhood, including the election of the Fowler King.
Permanent exhibition: From the History of Bractwo Kurkowe.
