Kraków Zoological Garden was opened on 6th July 1929. Situated in a clearing in the centre of the Lasek Wolski Forest, it is home to around 1500 animals from over 250 species. The Kraków Zoo is a breeding centre that has successfully bred many precious animal species including the great condor, pygmy slow loris, white-handed gibbon (lar), chimpanzee, cottontop tamarin, fennec, and Przewalski’s horse. The zoo also runs popular scientific events and has a special mini zoo, where the animals can be stroked and fed by children.
Access by the No. 134 bus from ul. Kałuży (near the Cracovia Hotel).

January – March 9am-4pm (tickets sold to 3pm), Mini ZOO 9:30am-2:30pm
April 9am-5pm (tickets sold to 4pm), Mini ZOO 9:30am-4:30pm
May – September 9am-7pm (tickets sold to 6pm), Mini ZOO 9:30am-6:30pm
