Collegiate Church of Saint Anne

Situated a stone's throw from Collegium Maius, Saint Anne's is the church of the Jagiellonian University. Wojtyła frequently prayed here during his studies.
In 1997, it was here that he delivered his famous speech to the people of science and culture to commemorate 600 years of the Faculty of Theology of the Jagiellonian University. The meeting is commemorated by a plaque on the façade of the church.
