Venue/Address:

ul. Tyniecka 10

Having moved to Kraków in 1938, Karol Wojtyła and his father came to live at ul. Tyniecka 10; the building was the property of his maternal uncle, Robert Kaczorowski. The father and son took lodging in two smallish rooms on the lowest floor. It was here that, having returned from work on 18th February 1941, Wojtyła found the body of his father, who had died of a heart attack. Karol lived here intermittently until 1944.

Only the outside may be visited.
