To avoid overcharging, please make sure that you use only licensed taxis, which are marked in the following way:

• Krakow’s crest and the taxi number on the door, additionally with the logo of the association.

• a sticker with the pricing on the rear right window

• a sticker with the contact number for the Municipality of Krakow

• a hologram sticker on the front window with the license number and a taxi number on the side

• driver’s ID inside the car displayed in a visible place

• the roof taxi light on

The driver must switch on the meter when you get in and hand over your receipt at the end of your journey. All complaints and comments about the taxi service should be addressed to the Department for Records of Vehicles and Drivers in the Municipality of Kraków al. Powstania Warszawskiego 10, phone +48 12 616 91 61 or +48 12 616 91 60.

Taxi fares:
Fares depend on the length of your journey and the rates your driver uses. Most charge 2.30PLN per kilometre within the city boundaries, Mon-Sat between 6am and 10pm. On Sundays and public holidays as well as at night the rate in the city is 3.50PLN per kilometre. A ride to the airport is 70-100PLN and generally 60PLN is enough to get from one end of the city to the other.
