Access to the Internet is relatively easy in the city. There are many internet cafes, such as Nandu at ul. Wiślna 6, Hetmańska at ul. Bracka 4 (open 24h), in Kazimierz – Labirynt at ul. Józefa 13, Moment Cafe at ul. Józefa 34 and many other. Some places offer also a free internet stand, such as offices of Cracow City Tours company at ul. Floriańska 44 and pl. Matejki 2 (cheap phone calls abroad are also in the offer in both).

If you have your own laptop you can use the free city internet networks which cover Rynek Główny and its vicinity (ul. Wiślna, ul. Gołębia, ul. Bracka, ul. Franciszkańska, ul. Dominikańska, ul. Grodzka and Plac Wszystkich Świętych), and also the area of ul. Szeroka in Kazimierz. You can use the Internet in many places covered by a free Wi-Fi network. In Nowa Huta you can find free internet in the 1949 Club at os. Urocze 12.

Free internet is also available in libraries such as the Wojewódzka Biblioteka Publiczna (The Voivodeship Public Library), where Wi-Fi works on the second floor or Krowoderska Biblioteka Publiczna (The Krowodrza District Public Library at Wrocławska 50, www.kbp.krakow.pl), Podgórska Biblioteka Publiczna (The Podgórze District Public Library at Powroźnicza 2, www.biblioteka.podgorska.krakow.pl), Nowohucka Biblioteka Publiczna (Nowa Huta District Public Library at os. Stalowe 12, www.biblioteka.krakow.pl), and in some of the local branches of these libraries. Free access is also available in some shopping centres such as Galeria Kazimierz, Galeria Krakowska, M1 and Solvay Park.

Most of the places where free internet access is available are marked with the hotspot Cracovia logo at the entrance.

How can I use the free internet?

You will need a laptop equipped with the wireless card PCMCIA, which automatically finds the network called Kraków 123Internet. All you need to do is to accept the network and start you internet browser. You will be redirected to  www.123wifi.eu and be able to start using the internet.
