The Bochnia Salt Mine is one of the Poland’s oldest salt mines and Europe’s oldest industrial plants being in continuous operation since the middle of the 13th century. It takes about 2 hours to cover the route which involves going down by the Sutoris mineshaft, a walk along August drift (or a walk along the Wernier level or up the Regis stairs) as well as visiting Mysiur Stable, Dobosz drift, Christian’s and treadmill chambers, St. Clare chapel, Rabsztyn chamber, and finally Ważyn chamber. A boat ride on a subterranean lake (ticket prices: PLN 15/10) is also possible – as a part of a tour.
