This 0.16 hectare (0.4 acre) garden adjoins the House of Józef Mehoffer at ul. Krupnicza 26 in Kraków. To design the garden, Mehoffer used the experience he had earlier obtained designing a garden in Jankówka near Wieliczka, where he owned an estate in 1907-1917. The original appearance of the garden in ul. Krupnicza may be seen today in the artist’s 1943 painting which became one of the iconographic sources used to bring the devastated and wasted garden to its current – painstakingly restored – form before its reopening on 20th May 2004.
